Had the day off from work & I finally watched episodes 13-25 of Code Geass & eps. 1-9 of its R2 ~ ~ ~

The first season was awesome ! !
I was constantly shouting HOMG ? ! or SUGOIYO !
I think I scared my family LOL (obaachan & I are fighting anyway so ~ )

The second season feels more like fanservice ||orz
I`m getting a lulu/rolo & gino/suzaku vib ~ ~
& all the kallen fanservice ~ ~ *nosebleed* (she one of three girls I`m gay for LOL)

Maa、 I had some time to myself today, and decided to watch the first two episodes of Mushishi.

In the beginning, when shinra kun was writing & the 「日」、『木』 ＆「鳥」kanji came to life, I began to tear up.
It reminded me of my grandfather.
I can still remember the first kanji he ever taught me.
I could not have been more than 6 years old.
It was raining outside, and we were on a bus back in NYC.
He drew 「雨」 on the fogged windowed.
He told me it meant "rain". We practiced the stroke order together & how to pronounce it.
He  taught me the difference in pronunciation between 「飴」　(ame candy) ＆　「雨」 (ame rain).
He pointed out that if I looked closely I could pictures "hidden" in the kanji.
For example, 「雨」　looks like a person walking in the rain with an umbrella =]
As a child, I use to imagine that drawings could come to life & play with me . . . （yeah, whatta weird child I was (＾ヮ＾；笑）

And in the the second episode, when sui chan was explaining the "second eye-lids",
I remembered when I was little I had a difficult time falling asleep.
I`d just stare at the ceiling for hours & hours, and my dad would come into my bedroom
& yell at me to just close my eyes then I would be able to fall alseep. ＸD　It didn`t work ! !
So, to avoid getting yelled at,
I`d close my eyes & watch these weird shapes & colours on the inside of my eye-lids . . .
You probably have no idea what I am talking about . . .

Since my classes were canceled today due to the weather and today was also my day off from work, I decided to watch 「時をかける少女」.
(It`s based off of Tsutsui Yasutaka`s 1967 novel. I`m going to buy both the book & DVD on my next trip to Nagoya)
I had watched the first 10 minutes of it months ago and never had the time to finish it.

Overall, I really, really enjoyed it !
I liked it more than 「秒速５センチメートル」 . . . which was painfully cold, realistic & miserable to watch . . . (although, that one moment in Cosmonaut was breathtaking . . . )
Anyhow,
I liked Makoto almost immediately. (I admire girls who aren`t particularly girl-ish & aren`t afraid to cut their hair short)
I found all the other girls to be timid or annoying ~ ~ ~ (＞＜)
I didn`t think much of Chiaki until the end.
Right after the climax of the movie happens,
he pauses time & tells Makoto the truth. Were they in Shibuya there ?
I loved the atmosphere !
And at the end, I thought he was just going to leave without saying anything meaningful.
But then he came back ~ so sweet ~ ~
When Kousuke asked Makoto about what she plans to do in the future,
I wonder if she`ll go into art restoration to protect the painting ? ?
Maybee it is better explained in the novel ? ?

Ahaha ! The power just went out . . .
Thank god, I have a laptop now. (Just bought last week)

Well, I`m going to go see what`s going on . . .
